Gandhi’s Message of Non-Violence Honoured in Amsterdam
Peace advocates from Indian and Dutch communities gathered in Amsterdam for a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around peace, non-violence and human dignity.
Held at Gandhi’s statue on Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. The meeting opened conversations about future cooperation in human rights education and youth engagement.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights news euromillions education is inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, linked the gathering to European principles of human dignity and freedom of conscience, stressing that knowledge of human rights can help younger generations contribute to peaceful societies.
